Awesome

Beside the fact that I love zombies...
This game is a real masterpiece, it's no cheap top-down racing game, it has epic music, epic graphics, epic voice acting and made me epic nervous because of... well everything. Listening to the radio really pictures the desperation the military get into.
Hearing that scream of the mutated zombie while driving to a group of burning cars AND seeing a jet fly by almost made me crap my pants O_o No really, it's kinda scary...
The checkpoints placement is obviously done by someone who knows what he's doing. It's really hard, but very doable. I died several times before reaching a checkpoint just to score points. The upgrades don't make you overpowered eventually, what keeps the challenge, what's also a good point.

Overall, the atmosphere created by this game is -for me- comparable to Left4Dead, which is an honest compliment! :O Because achieving that is kinda tough in such a small window and... wel, a driving game.
Still, completing the game made me feel like one of the guys in Egoraptor's 'Awesome Reach'. Except I'm not snorting anything or getting a hard-on. (But I haven't played another game mode yet so everything's possible! Except the hard-on part, really.)

You guys are Pro's!

Frosty Impaler

You CAN be too greedy, which I think is a bug.
If you light one torch, grab the item and leave the screen, you can come back and get the other, which is why I couldn't get 'Here Doggy!' I guess.
But I still give a 10 because the idea, atmosphere, art and music deserves a score at least over 9000.

Great short

Great new short. It was pretty easy though.

The quality keeps getting better with the Reincarnation series. The demon looks way more evil and I think I finally hear a better mic is used :P
Still, the characterizing style remains.
But I found another bug: when you close the radio window while the cigarette lighter is not yet lit (but is about to) it dissapears, which causes a very long car ride, without even a bit of EVIL! :(
(Also, in the back of the van you drive backwards lol)

Great job!

Simple yet impressive

It's amazing how it's hard as hell and still I kept trying and didn't get frustrated.
It didn't take me that long to beat, as you try more, the hard parts of a level get easier.
The laws made it very original and fun. I don't have to mention the difficulty I guess :) It was hard, but not too hard... which I find very impressive because a lot of games are either too frustrating or easy as shit.
Controls are another aspect that can make or break a platformer. Controllable jump height, no sliding... yes sir, These controls are the ones we're looking for!
(Perfect controls also make you look at yourself when you screw up, which I find less frustrating)

@JapeSkydrake I thought of checkpoints too. But after completing the level, I figured it would drain the fun and tension because it would become... -yes!- easy as shit!

Graphics are not super awesome. Yet they are, especially the background of level 11 and the reflecting floors :) Simple art is art as well! ^^
The music wasn't repetitive or annoying but refreshing, interesting and relaxing.

This is the first game that makes me wanna write a review right after playing.
It's a big fat 10 for the simple yet amazing gameplay you guys created.
Great Job!

Amazing

It's so simple and yet so hard :)
I like the lava part best. It would be great if you made an endless game mode. With the option to pick lava or water. Or a mode without healthpacks or lives. OR! how about a mode that adds water from the start, so that your path is slowly filled with water and you have to dig 'buckets'. Well it's just a thought.
But I'd love to play it without an end!

Keep it up!

Great

Once again :D
The graphics are amazing, the choise of music is stunning.
Well done

Tuper Tarded Tr...

Rite...
I hate the game, it's hard XD
Still, I think it's very original and I shouldn't rate it low because I suck at it.
And apparantly, so do others think about it :P

What the fish?!

I'm not getting the HERO medal, or I did something wrong.
hmm... no I'm pretty sure I beat the game!

Anyway, the music was great, can't get it out of my head. Especially the song from the last level, why isn't that one submitted to the audio portal?
I've got no complaints about the movement, it's just something you've got to get used to, just like any game. (to the complaining reviewers: you have to play longer to get used to the controls! It's called Adapting, you should try it. Don't cry when you can't beat the game in one try, you're not supposed to)

Graphics were awesome! Really brings back memories. I also wanna mention the darkness in the last level behind you if you swim ahead (or stay behind). Gives a real creepy atmosphere. Thumbs up for that one too!

Dying when hitting walls isn't that strange when you're made of glass. That one was good! Thought I read about someone complaining you sound like ripping paper instead of breaking glass when you die. Isn't that the sound you get in most SNES-like games? I wouldn't choose a different sound. It's got that old-skool vibe!

All in all it was a pretty hard game. The only positive point in replaying the last level over and over was the music. Guess I only beat the game because I wanted to hear the music again, and when the boss battle started I was like, hm... why not. Still, the boss battle was a pain in the ass and I'd rather start at the boss again. But hell, I beat it so I don't care anymore.

When I finally beat the game I was a little disappointed. The story wasn't that bad. A short game, a short introduction. Wizard, fish, start playing already! But why is there a statue of that asshole bully fish? He's got a knuckle sandwich for you, then luckily he dies and you give him the honour? Kinda weak.
Still, good game.

I wanted to give a 10. The ending killed it. Then I wanted to give an 8, but this music deserves better: 9 for you
and 4/5 because it was kinda short

Strange...

In a good way! for some reason I hate these kind of games. But this one... It's fun =D
I think it's because you have to make money to continue running over people. There's no real time limit and you don't get fired fast. I like the freedom in this game (and the music ^^)

Good game!

gets me trigger happy fast so that makes it quite hard =P
nice art,
good shooting game, a bit standard maybe.

i was wondering though,
maybe you guys can submit the 'eddsworld'/credits song to the audio portal? it's very catchy ^^
